Tamara Littleton
CEO and founder
Tamara founded eModeration in 2002 to share her passion for making the internet a safer place. From the early days of online forum moderation to the explosion of Facebook and Twitter, Tamara has used her expertise to help develop best practice standards for digital media on branded online channels. With a background in content management, consultancy and operations for the pioneering BBC communities team and Liberty Media, she has extensive experience in community management, child safety, social media consultancy, and crisis management. She is a member of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS). She regularly speaks at conferences and contributes white papers to the social media and marketing industries.

Wendy Christie
Chief Production Officer
Wendy Christie has worked in the field of online community for more than ten years. As the Head of AOL UK’s Social Media and Community team, she managed moderation, community editorial and community product integration between 1998 and 2007. Wendy oversees the recruitment, training and management of our moderators and community managers, and works to ensure that the services we provide are the best in the business. She helps to develop the eModeration child safety policies and has been trained as a CEOP Ambassador. She has a degree in Education from Aberdeen University.

Treena Hales
Chief Operating Officer
Treena Hales has 17 years of experience in the broadcasting industry, gained mostly at the BBC, and spent three years running her own business. Her experience covers new media, large-scale IT implementations, financial and budget management, technology management, departmental management, organisational change and communications, training, development & learning, consultancy and project management. Treena oversees all aspects of eModeration’s operations and our technical staff.

Ashley Cooksley
VP of Client Services and Business Development
With over 16 years within the industry, Ashley Cooksley has extensive experience in social media and community management, editorial supervision and direction, web-based project implementation, and project management. Ashley joined eModeration in 2008, and previously worked in management roles at AOL UK, Ticketmaster-CitySearch, Petsmart.com, and on her own websites. She was educated at North Carolina State University, where she received an award for achievement in scientific research. Ashley manages eModeration’s account management and business development teams.

Blaise Grimes-Viort
VP of Community
With degrees in programming and web development, Blaise started his career in community management in 2001 and has worked with global brands, startups and charities in fields such as videogaming, social networking, pharmaceutical, broadcasting, publishing and ISPs. Blaise has worked as Head of Communities and Social Media at National Magazines, Hearst Digital and Webjam before coming to eModeration, where he heads up the social media marketing and community management teams.

Rachel Boothroyd
Legal Counsel
Rachel Boothroyd is a lawyer specialising in social and digital media, and has worked in intellectual property and technology law for over 18 years. As well as managing our legal division, Rachel delivers much of the eModeration soft skills training programme. Rachel is also a consultant at technology specialist law firm, Kemp Little. Prior to these roles, she ran her own legal practice, and spent 15 years in leading international law firms in London including as head of Intellectual Property and Technology. Rachel is a regular contributor to PLC magazine on digital media issues and speaks regularly on digital and social media issues in the law.

Adrienne Grubb
Head of Marketing
Adrienne has been managing online content and digital marketing projects for over 14 years, working for a diverse range of brands such as Liberty Media (Chello Broadband), Freeserve, Orange, Fidelity, Redwood and RBS/NatWest. She is a specialist in content strategy and delivery, editorial best practice, branding, customer experience, usability, and digital transformation projects for both B2C and B2B audiences.

Rebecca Fitzgerald
Business Development Manager, UK and Europe
Since starting at eModeration, as an Account Manager in 2007, Rebecca has set up and managed some of eModeration’s largest and most complex multi-lingual accounts including HSBC, BBC Worldwide and Sony. She works with clients from financial institutions, media companies, large corporations and digital/advertising/production agencies. Rebecca holds a BA (Hons) in Design & Media Management and has worked within media, production, events and training (both in the UK and in Australia and New Zealand) for 18+ years. Rebecca is now responsible for European New Business Development.

Lisa Barnett
Senior Community Manager, UK and Europe
After ten years in B2B technology journalism, Lisa became a community manager working on one of the earliest news technology communities in the UK. Over the past few years, Lisa has worked for a knowledge-sharing ebusiness community and spent four years as Vice President of Communities for a B2B Community specialist managing four communities. Prior to joining eModeration in 2012, Lisa spent two years as the community manager for Institute of Chartered Accounts England and Wales where she ran nine communities and set up ICAEW’s social media presence on twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Jennifer M. Puckett
Production Manager USA and Child Safety Liaison Officer
Jennifer has 13 years experience of managing online communities, most notably working with Disney and Smartbomb Interactive. While at Disney, Jennifer served as the Senior Manager, Community Policy for Disney Online Studios, creating policies to ensure the Disney philosophy on moderation and safety were effectively implemented. As a member of the Disney Safety Group, Jennifer worked with both PR and legal representatives to ensure all Disney Interactive guests received a well-rounded understanding of online safety. At eModeration she oversees the US Moderation team while continuing to support child online safety initiatives, training and education, and she is also eModeration’s Child Safety Liaison Officer.

Alex Coley
Technical Strategist
Alex Coley spent most of his career working in digital communication, technology and strategy for global corporations, government and the police (where he worked as Head of Digital Services to the Metropolitan Police and advised the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners on social media and using cloud technology for online collaboration). He is a specialist in the adoption and transformation of digital and social channels for improved services, products and engagement.

Richard Simcott
Production Manager, Multilingual Moderation
Richard previously worked in the diplomatic corps for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He is fluent in many languages, including all major European languages. Richard manages those moderators who regularly work in languages other than English, and provides advice and practical assistance, including training, on multilingual projects. Richard was recently named ‘Ambassador of Multilingualism’ by The Goethe Institute.

Sherry Wilcox
Senior Community Manager, USA and Asia
Sherry has over 15 years of experience in building and managing online communities. Since starting with eModeration in 2007, she’s produced and implemented social media guidelines, policies, community management strategies and member engagement and education plans. She has experience in editorial and content management, project management, and social media analysis. Sherry received BA degrees in Business Management and Economics with Flagler College and works for eModeration as a Senior Community Manager for the United States and Asia.

Rob Cockburn
Senior Account Manager
Rob started work at eModeration as a moderator in 2008 and has worked through the ranks to become a Senior Account Manager. He specialises in accounts focused on child safety and handles some of eModeration’s largest online communities. Rob holds an LLB (Hons) in Law and assists our legal counsel Rachel Boothroyd in the negotiation and drafting of new contracts.

Robin Cooksley
Senior Account Manager
As a Senior Account Manager for eModeration, Robin works on some of our largest projects for clients such as Mind Candy, Diageo, General Motors and Heinz. With a focus on social media management, Robin has over 10 years experience in project management and implementation. Robin enjoys working closely with clients to determine their overall goals and how eModeration can meet their needs.

Kari Blocher
Senior Account Manager
Kari has over 15 years social media experience specializing in live chat and tween/teens communication. Having been with eModeration since 2007 she is now a Senior Account Manager and works with clients from entertainment agencies, food and beverage brands, health organizations, digital/advertising/marketing agencies and large corporations. Kari handles our largest global media and entertainment client and has been responsible for setting up a variety of projects with an international reach.

Kerry Herdt
Senior Account Manager
Kerry started his moderation career in 2006 as a live chat moderator. He’s been with eModeration since 2007 and is now a Senior Account Manager, with responsibility for MTV accounts and a variety of advertising agency campaigns.

Tanya Van Esser
Senior Account Manager
Tanya is a Senior Account Manager specialising in the technically demanding mobile phone area, where moderators test applications uploaded by users. Such projects involve testing, introduction of new tools and procedures and intensive team guidance and training.
