The third party management tools such as Context Optional, Conversocial and Sprout Social still offer the advantage of allowing simultaneous posting across several channels as well as many other intelligent features, so they shouldn’t be worried by this development – but it will be welcome for those not currently tooled up.
Some confusion about when posts can be scheduled though: either at 10 minute intervals or 15 minutes apart depending on whether you believe the Help centre or the time increments available, but no doubt all that will become clear. And it’s possible to view, reschedule or delete the scheduled post from within the page’s activity log: hoorah!
Facebook introduces 5 tiers of page admin access
And another big Huzzah! from smaller businesses as Facebook now offers pages fives different levels of page admin privileges, so admins can assign roles to different people without giving up control of their pages.
The new roles are “manager,” “content creator,” “moderator,” “advertiser” and “insights analyst.” Facebook offers the following chart to break down what each type of admin is authorized to do. These roles are fixed by Facebook: the page owner cannot change the privileges associated with each.
The current default for all admins is manager status. Levels can be changed from the “admin roles” panel within the “edit page” dashboard.
