Tamara Littleton, CEO and founder
Tamara founded the social media management agency eModeration in 2002. She comes from an established background in editorial quality control, fault escalation and process management, experience gained from previous work as the Product Delivery Director for Chello Broadband and Online Operations Manager for BBC Online where she managed the world's first ISO 9000 accredited team for digital publishing management and monitored over 400 BBC websites. She has a psychology degree and a history in consultancy and publishing. Tamara Littleton is a member of the Moderation Sub Group as part of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety, advising the British Government on moderation of communities to help safeguard children. She was also the Chair of emint (2006-2007), the online community for community professionals. Wendy Christie, Production Director
Wendy Christie has worked in the field of online community for more than ten years. As the Head of AOL UK's Social Media and Community team, she managed moderation, community editorial and community product integration between 1998 and 2007. Wendy oversees the recruitment, training and management of our moderators and community managers, and works to ensure that the services we provide are the best in the business. She develops the eModeration child safety policies and has been trained as a CEOP Ambassador. She has a degree in Education from Aberdeen University.
Treena Hales, Director Finance & Operations
Treena Hales has 17 years of experience in the broadcasting industry, mostly at the BBC and spent three years running her own business. Her experience covers new media, large-scale IT implementations, financial and budget management, technology management, departmental management, organisational change and communications, training, development & learning, consultancy and project management. Treena is Prince 2 qualified.
Ashley Cooksley, Business Development and Community Management Director
Ashley Cooksley has extensive experience in community management, editorial supervision and direction, and Web-based project implementation by working in management roles at Ticketmaster-CitySearch, Petsmart.com, AOL UK, and on her own websites. Educated at North Carolina State University, Ashley received an award for achievement in scientific research.
Blaise Grimes-Viort, Head of Community and Engagement
Blaise holds a BSc in programming and web development, and an MSc specialising in the social structure of digital piracy groups and their effects on society and business. He started his career in Community Management in 2001 and has worked with global brands, startups and charities, in fields such as Videogaming, Social Networking, Pharmaceutical, Broadcasting, Publishing and ISPs. Blaise has worked as Head of Communities and Social Media at National Magazines, Hearst Digital and Webjam before coming to eModeration. This varied experience has provided him with a rich background in product development and customer collaboration, and the passion to help organisations build thriving online communities and social media outposts, both externally and internally. As part of the child safety team at eModeration, Blaise helps clients ensure that their communities are safe for children. Tia Fisher, Marketing and Communications Manager
With over ten years experience in on and offline marketing gained in Marketing Agencies in Portugal and London, Tia is responsible for internal and external communications, which includes the eModeration blog. She was a key member of the team that developed the first online promotional auction for Coca-Cola, cokeauction.com, which won numerous industry awards in 2001. She holds the UK marketing Institute of Sales Promotion diploma. Tia tweets for the company on @eModeration, and is responsible for the communication aspects of eModeration's commitment towards online child safety.
Kari Blocher, Senior Account Manager
Kari has over 13 years social media experience and in particular with live chat and tween/teens communication. She started as a moderator with us and is now a Senior Account Manager, working primarily on our largest global media and entertainment client.
Kerry Herdt, Senior Account Manager
Kerry started his moderation career in 2006 as a live chat moderator. He's been with eModeration since 2007 and is now a Senior Account Manager, with responsibility for MTV accounts and a variety of advertising agency campaigns.
Paul Cockburn, Senior Account Manager
A Senior Account Manager at eModeration, Paul has worked in online communities for ten years, including the Guardian newspaper's website. Having started as a moderator in 2007, Paul now handles blue-chip clients such as LEGO, ITV, O2 and the Football Association.
Rebecca Fitzgerald, Senior Account Manager
Since starting at eModeration in 2007, Rebecca has managed some of eModeration's largest and most complex multi-lingual accounts. Now a Senior Account Manager, she takes a special interest in research, communities and tool development.
Tanya Van Esser, Senior Account Manager
Tanya is a Senior Account Manager specialising in a technically demanding mobile phone area, where moderators test applications uploaded by users. Such projects involve testing, introduction of new tools and procedures and intensive team guidance and training.
Our Account Managers, Community Managers and team of over 160 staff and freelance moderators (mostly based in the US and Europe) have a wide variety of professional backgrounds and have worked for organisations including AOL, BBC, Comcast, Guardian, Lloyd’s Bank and Mattel. All staff members are thoroughly background and CRB checked.
